Welcome to Vote Barbados 2008 Updated:

Barbadians went to the polls on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 to elect a new government. The Democratic Labour Party (DLP), led by David Thompson, won 20 of the 30 seats in the House of Assembly. The Barbados Labour Party (BLP) won the other 10 seats.

This site provides information for students, teachers, parents and indeed everyone on how the Barbadian electoral system works, and how and why we all should take part in the democratic process.
