Jenner Bourne Maude Armour, SC
Former Interim President of Dominica
Jenner Bourne Maude Armour (1936 - 2001) was interim president of Dominica from 21 June 1979 to 25 February 1980.
Early life and education
Jenner Armour received his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1958 and his Masters in 1959 at the Univeristy of London and began his practice in 1960.
Career
Armour served the Bar Associaion in Dominica with distinction for over 40 years. He was also involved with law firms in other countries like St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Jenner Armour was elected to act as President until the resignation of Degazon, he later became a member of Cabinet under the late Dame Mary Eugenia Charles.
In 1985 he became Deputy Speaker of the Dominica Parliament. He served as an elected member of Parliament and Attorney General between 1990 - 1995.
Death
Jenner Armour dies in 2001.
