Karis Barton is an Antiguan politician.
Early life and education
Karis Barton was born and raised in the Liberta community but his maternal roots are in the villages of Bethesda and Christian Hill. He lost both of his parents at an early age which fact caused him to develop an independent spirit and a determination to succeed. He is a graduate of the All Saints Secondary School and during his teenage years. he worked in the construction industry at Jumby Bay constructing multi-million dollar luxury villas. It was this exposure which honed his keen interest in Building Technology. After graduation. he was awarded a scholarship to pursue studies in Architecture in the Republic of Cuba
Career
Karis Barton is a Maintenance Engineer and Certified Skipper employed in the Marine/Yachting sector
Barton unsuccessfully contested the St. Philip South seat for the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) in the 2018 General Election.
Personal life
Barton was raised in the Moravian faith and finds time to attend the New Bethel Adventist church.
