Maria Vanessa Browne is an Antiguan politician.
Early life and education
Maria Vanessa Browne (née Bird) is the duaghter National Hero Sir Lester Bryant Bird; and the granddaughter of the Father of the Nation, Sir Vere Cornwall Bird Sr.
She attended the Christ the King High School and a holds Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
Career
Browne successfully contested the St. John’s Rural East seat for the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) in the 2018 General Election. She was appointed Minister for Housing, Lands, and Urban Renewal and Minister of State in the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour on 22 March 2018.
Personal life
Browne is married to husband Gaston Browne, the current Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.
