Justina Charles is a Dominican nurse, politician and current Cabinet Minister.
Early life and education
Charles was educated at Grand Bay Primary School and the Dominica Community High School (DCHS); Dominica Nursing School (DNS). She is also is a trained mid-wife.
Career
Charles is the current Minister for Youth, Sports, and Constituency Empowerment in the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Administration of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Prior to entering politics, charles was a registered nurse for over 27 years. She worked in Roseau at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) and also at the Grand Bay Health Centre.
Personal life
Charles was married to Pierre Charles, Prime Minister of Dominica who died in office, and is the mother of two.
