Jacqueline Josephine Cornwall was a former Independent Senator in Grenada.
Jacqueline Josephine Cornwall was born in Grenada in 1934.
Jacqueline Cornwall was a former Independent Senator in Grenada. She was also a founding member and former president of the Grenada National Organisation for Women (GNOW) and served as the only woman in Parliament in her time.
Cornwall was also a Former Executive Board Member of World Young Women Christian Association (YWCA); former President of the YWCA Grenada; former member of the Conference of Churches, Grenada; and a former member of the Lady of the Rosary.
Honours and awards
In 1992, Cornwall was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM, Civil Division) for her service to the community.
Cornwall was married to husband Clifford Cornwall; and was the mother of Christopher Cornwall and Jennifer Theodore.
Jacqueline Cornwall died on 23 February 2019. She was 84. Her funeral service was held on Tuesday, 5 March 2019 at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, St. Paul’s, St. George, Grenada followed by interment at the Mt. Airy Cemetery.
