Kenneth Melchoir Darroux is a Dominican doctor, politician, and current Cabinet Minister.
Early life and education
Kenneth Darroux excelled in the then Common Entrance Exams in 1981 to later emerge as the top student in the CXC exams of 1986. He taught for one year, then went on to pursue studies in Cuba and obtained his medical degree in 1996.
Career
Darroux is the current Minister for Health and Social Services in the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Administration of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Prior to entering politics, Darroux was a Medical Officer of the Grand Bay Health District for over a decade.
Following retention of his seat in the 2019 general election, he was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, and Diaspora Relations in the Roosevelt Skerrit Administration on 17 December 2019.
