Ian C.A. Douglas is a Dominican politician and current Cabinet Minister.
Career
Douglas is the current Minister for Trade, Energy and Employment in the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Administration of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Douglas has been the Member of Parliament for Portsmouth since May 2005. He previously served as the Minister of Tourism and Legal Affairs. He has also served as Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Labor and Immigration.
Following retention of his seat in the 2019 general election, he was appointed Minister of Trade, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business and Export Development in the Roosevelt Skerrit Administration on 17 December 2019.
Personal life
He is the son of former Opposition Leader Michael Douglas.
