Chekira Lockhart Hypolite is a Dominican politician and a current Parliamentary Secretary.

Early life and education

She holds a diploma in finance from the University of Leicester and is in her final year of a BSc course in accounts at The UWI Open Campus.

Career

Chekira Lockhart-Hypolite is the Bursar at the Dominica State College.

Lockhart Hypolite successfully contested the Roseau South seat for the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) in the 2019 General Election.

She was appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives, with special responsibility for Air and Sea Port Operations in the Roosevelt Skerrit Administration on 17 December 2019.
