The Hon. Joseph T. 'Zico' Isaac

Joseph T. 'Zico' Isaac is a Dominican politician and current Cabinet Minister.
Early life and education
Joseph T. 'Zico' Isaac was born in January 1969 in Dominica. He was educated at the Dominica Grammar School, Sixth Form College, and New Mexico State University where he pursued studies in Economics. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Career
Isaac is the current Minister for the Environment, Climate Resilience, Disaster Management and Urban Renewal in the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Administration of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
In 2014, Johnson won the Roseau Central seat for the United Workers' Party (UWP). In April 2018 he crossed the floor to sit as an independent member of the House. He was later appointed Minister of Climate Change, Environment, and Urban Renewal later that year.
Prior to entering politics, Isaac was a teacher at the Dominica Grammar School, Ministry of Trade Industry and Commerce in 1993; former Operations manager at P.W Bellot and Company Limited; former Industrial Engineer, Plant Manager and Purchasing Manager at Colgate Palmolive-Dominica; and former Programme Manager of Business Gateway Project. He is also the owner of a bakery, a restaurant, a farm a small eco-tourism accommodation business and a former Director of the Eastern Caribbean Fund.
Isaac played national football for the Dominica at the senior national level.
Isaac is contesting the Roseau North seat for the the DLP in the 2019 general election.
Personal life
Isaac is divorced; and the father of four children.
