Ernie Lawrence Jno Finn is a Dominican politician.
Early life and education
Ernie Lawrence Jno-Finn was born in Good Hope, Dominica on 27 December 1955. She comes from the small hamlet of Good Hope, Dominica. Between 1986- 1988 she attended Dominica Teachers Training College and earned a Teacher Training Certificate (1996 – 2003). She holds a master's degree in educational administration from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom (1993 – 1995); and a Certificate in Education from the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies.
Career
An educator by profession, Jno-Finn started teaching in 1971 where she taught at all levels from K to grade 6 in all core and non- core subjects until 1993. She served as a school principal from 1993 to 2003. During the years 2003-2012 she was Learning Support Officer; and between 2012 and 2015, she was District Education Officer (Acting).
Jno Finn is contesting the Castle Bruce seat for the United Workers' Party (UWP) in the 2019 General Election.
