James Henry Arnold Meade
Former Member of the West Indies Federal Parliament

James Henry Arnold Meade was a Montserratian politician and a former parliamentarian in the West Indies Federal Parliament.

Early life and education

James Henry Arnold Meade was born in Montserrat and educated at the St. Kitts-Nevis Grammar School, and in England.

Career

Meade was a barrister at law. He practiced in the Supreme Court of the Windward and Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.

An elected member of the Montserrat Legislative Council (1937-1940) he was also a member of the Federal Legislative Council of the Leeward Islands.

He served as a Member of the Senate of the West Indies Federation from 1958 to 1962.
