Anthony Johnson Stuart is a Former Antiguan and Barbudan Senator.
Early life and education
Anthony Johnson Stuart was born in Grays Farm to Julie Joseph, a Dominican immigrant and single mother. He holds a BSc degree with first class honours in Accounting and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Career
His employment experience in both the public and private sectors has been varied and dynamic having worked as a Teacher, Auditor, Airline Agent, Customs Officer. Financial Comptroller, Banker and Insurance Professional.
He was appointed as one of four United Progressive Party senators in 2014 and served until 1 October 2015.
Stuart unsuccessfully contested the St. John's Rural West seat for the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) in the 2018 General Election.
Personal life
He is a devoted member of the Catholic faith.
