Former Governor of Montserrat

Willoughby Harry Thompson was a former British diplomat and was Governor of Montserrat (1971 - 1974).

Career

On 3 November 1971, the Montserrat (Governor) Order 1971 came into operation. From this date, the Queen's representative in Montserrat was styled Governor. Willoughby Harry Thompson served as the first Governor of Montserrat from 3 November 1971 - 1974.

Honours and award

Thompson was appointed a Commander of the British Empire (CBE). He was appointed a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG) in the Queen's 1974 Birthday Honours.
