National Heroes of Antigua and Barbuda |
National Heroes’ Day is commemorated on 26 October each year to celebrate the lives of the heroes that by their example and significant contributions to the country have changed the history of Antigua and Barbuda for the better. It was 26 October 1736 in Ottos that National Hero Prince Klaas was broken at the wheel for masterminding a rebellion, the plan for which was uncovered before Klaas and his followers could act on them. |
