The Senate of Barbados 2013-2018 |

There are 21 members of the Senate, 12 are appointed by the Prime Minister, seven by the Governor General in his discretion to represent various interests in the community such as religious, economic, social and other such interests as he thinks ought to be be represented and 2 by the Leader of Opposition. Senators may also be appointed as Ministers or Parliamentary Secretaries. The Senate meets chiefly when there is business from the House of Assembly. |
