Noel Dickson is a principled and extremely competent son of South Windward who brings to the table not just wide and varied academic and business/work experience but an appreciation of what it means to come from humble beginnings and succeed against trying odds. Despite being a first timer, from 1979, Dickson has been actively involved in politics for every candidate for the NDP for South Windward.
Dickson attended the Stubbs’ Primary School, St Vincent’s Grammar School, University of the West Indies, and to the London Metropolitan University. He holds a BSc in Management Studies – University of the West Indies; and a MA in Employment Studies and Human Resource Management – Metropolitan University UK. He has also attained Certificates in Public Administration, Labour Administration, and Managing and Facilitating Online Instruction from the University of the West Indies.
Dickson has worked in the Financial Sector for nine years. He is a part-time Online Lecturer at the UWI Open Campus St. Vincent, for Marketing Management and Occupational Safety and Health Management. He also lectures part-time at the Barbados Institute for Management and Productivity in Occupational Safety and Health Management. He is also a Workshop Facilitator for Education for Advancement, University of Leicester for MBA and Undergraduate students.
Within the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he has been an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, Public Service and Airport Development; Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Labour; and Ministry of Housing, Community Development. He has previously worked as a Warden at Kingstown Town Board, Labour Officer at Department of Labour, and Customs and Excise Officer.
Dickson is a deacon at Biabou Evangelical Church. |
